About Me

I'm an aspiring London-based writer.

Like all writers, actors and otherwise creative people (barring a lucky few), I work a day job in retail, selling chocolate, helping people and generally trying not to snap at the ruder customers.* It's a tough existence, but could be so much worse. I have enough to pay rent, feed myself and enjoy a reasonable level of comfort in my life. And sometimes I do need to remind myself of that!

I'm a recent graduate in Film and Television, but my main strengths and interests there are writing and sound recording/design.

I've been writing for my own pleasure and the amusement of a few others since I was eleven, and have always wanted to go into writing in a professional way, whether for film, television, games or novels. This blog my promise to myself - keep active, keep writing and work towards that goal!

No 'about me' page would be complete without the mention of my wonderful other half. She can be found here, at her own writing blog. We met through writing online together, and fell in love. We are adorable (in the words of everyone around me) and have many large and exciting plans for the future, some of which I'm sure will come up in both blogs.

So, what can you expect here? Writing excepts, prompts to try for yourself, some critical analysis of some of my favourite things, some thoughts on life...whatever spills from my mind when I sit in front of a keyboard!
